Weekend Snapshots 38

Welcome to week 38 of Weekend Snapshots Link-Up (seriously, where has the time gone this year?!?).  This edition is brought to you by Jack's love of his Build-A-Bear, Chase, from Paw Patrol, and his "new hugging face."  Seriously, kid?  Hugging face?  Okay.....  Make sure to join me and Ariana at 3twentysix at the end of this post to link up your Weekend Snapshots post and be sure to share the love!!!

Saturday:  Jack and I stayed home all day Saturday because Dennis was at work.  We mostly loafed around the house in our pajamas and did some chores - he spend most of the day in undies and the new pair of Toy Story cowboy boots he got on Thursday (needless to say, I'm not sharing an underwear only shot of my toddler because the internet is a skeezy place).  That evening I had a performance, so Den and Jack were on their own for the night.  On my way home, I saw the SUV in front of me flip several times and roll down the freeway embankment - it was horrific.  I pulled over to the wreck to call 911 and was amazed to see all 5 people getting out of the car.  I stayed with them until the paramedics arrived - I can't believe noone was seriously hurt - I mean, look at the damage that car took.

Sunday:  I slept in pretty late Sunday (and so did Jack).  I didn't get him to bed until almost midnight because I got home so late.  Once I got him to sleep, I was way to adrenalined up from performing and then seeing that wreck, so I stayed up half the night watching Netflix.  Jack and I had another lazy day at home doing a few chores and watching TV.  I needed to go to Costco and the grocery store for some stuff - let me tell you, Costco on a Sunday afternoon is no place for the faint of heart.  Maybe that's why Jack's "new hugging face" is so crazy.  I hate running out of staples on a Sunday - I usually grocery shop in the middle of the week in the middle of the day to avoid all the nonsense of weekend food shopping, but, alas, that was not in the cards for me this week.  After Costco, we went to our grocery store and the lot was so full I had to circle for about 15 minutes.  As soon as I got a space I look behind me to see Jack asleep.  Srsly, kid?  Nothing on my regular grocery list was urgently needed, so I decided to just go home at that point.  The rest of the evening was low key - thankfully - although I did have trouble getting Jack to sleep at a decent time - between his late nap and being up so late the night before, but you can't win them all.

I hope your weekend was as laid back as mine was.  Let me know what you were up to by linking up with us!!  And, no, I'm not topless in this picture - I'm wearing a sleeveless dress, lol.  Have a great week, ya'll!
